I have a full grid but can't find the last 6 cells to highlight, asked for in the preamble.

Hi patch, just picked it up again.
Forgot I had it in my pile.
Have only few answers so not as far as you are.
If I get the grid done, I will be back.
If I crack 3d and 8d, I can make progress.
Looks tough.

Have finished the grid.
Have 6 of 8 extra letters.
26a seems like a geographical feature.
Will pick up tomorrow.

Hi patch49; might it be 6 letters that don't form a word in itself but sound like a synonym of 1 of the features that when viewed with the other 13 provide a rough map/outline. DEEERE sounds like dear ?

I now have 7 extra letters. About to give up.

Hi sunray, yes. I was sent this puzzle by syzygy, I don't normally do these so my comment re the additional 6 is most likely best ignored as I'm not really certain what that part of the preamble means.
