I don't do this puzzle, so not sure how tricky it is! I have an answer that fits very well, works very well - but it'd mean your 'e' was wrong.

Thanks Malone was sure one of my letters must be wrong, the 'e' was the one I was didn't trust. Hints welcome!

Glad I helped - a little bit! The 'wine quality' is imparted to a wine by the climate and soil in which its grapes are grown. It's a French word originally.

An easy one today, but I can't fully parse this:

1D Full bucket (5) - P?U?P - It has to be PLUMP but where does "bucket" fit in?

Bucket and plump are both defined in Chambers as 'to rain heavily'
