catkin if you have the 5 correct misprints - the original letters are the same as the 5 letters that appear outside the grid (anagram of the poet). The 5 replacement letters do form an easily seen anagram. (subject of poem in a sense). Is this any help?

My orignial letters from the misprints are EORDN. It is quite possible that I have made a mistake here and that is what is throwing me off. One last effort here before I put the crossword away and get on with other stuff. (Thank you by the way) I can get a 16c poet if I use EONDN?

Hi catkin, your EONDN is correct and my posts @ 37 & 38 might help and save time if you have a copy of ODQ.

yes Catkin - that is the poet (So your R is wrong). So if you google him + poem + bottom across should get you there.
