Help with the theme please.....can't seem to see any connection between possibles for the unclued lights / connection with the title??

The answer plus the first word in the clue together give a movement in French cinema - that's all I can come up with!

PS I've deliberately not given the clue in case it spoils it for anyone who wanders onto this thread.

Hi it's me, I took it as Volkswagen more commonly
V W being the initials of the surnames of the composer.
