Hello everyone!

The clue is
'Dam - thrice damaged without canal head (5)'

I'm not able to find the answer.


So this set of clues are from A Clue A Day(ACAD) .
they publish a new clue everyday.

I'm a beginner so I get confused and stuck on most of the clues.
So this is the third thread I'm posting.

Please suggest whether I should create a thread every time or continue in one thread.

Since one clue is published everyday, it is fun to solve and not very time consuming. So please tell me should I post the clue everyday here?

The answer is not in Chambers and I'm not if it's known well enough for UK crosswords?

And I have only visited the Pitlochry Hydro Dam (not too far away!)
