Stuck on the right hand side.
First one I got was 13a - POLO - lop backwards plus O. But it is clearly wrong and I now have F..L. Duh.
And why is 36a FOOL ?

I am not sure but the clues would certainly help.

The solutions to the four clues at 11ac, 13ac, 36ac and 37ac are not entered 'as is', but their letters when added together can be rearranged to form the entries at those four locations.

But what about the 13 letter phrase? An Initial grid stare reveals nothing.

An enjoyable puzzle but I was hoping for something a bit more demanding for a Bank Holiday. Having said that I am difficulty parsing 35ac and 21 down - any help appreciated.
