Crossword completed but I'm unable to fully parse the final answer.

29 across: Lovely to replace Liberal in flat that's messy (11)

I have D?S?E?E?L?D which gives me DISHEVELLED (messy). I'm probably missing the obvious but would appreciate an explanation of the complete wordplay!

Flat - Levelled

Replace first 'L' with Dish a lovely girl.

Many thanks mamya, I had pondered on DISH being the synonym for Lovely, but was wrongly looking for a 4 letter word that it had replaced.

I take no pleasure completing crosswords if I'm not able to fully justify the wordplay, so once again many thanks!
