There are some Iris (the flower) with Carol in their name and iris is part of the eye

Thanks again Jazzy, you're explanation sounds spot on. I didn't know that some iris(flower) had Carol in their name, but I do now, and it noted;)

I don't think it's a great clue, sorry!

PS I thought there weren't usually any repeated letters in the clue?
