Help with parsing two clues, please.
15 Across. "Sort of power chosen by hotel manager ultimately in charge" (13). Looks like "Hydroelectric". Can see that h could be hotel, elect could be chosen, r manager ultimately and ic in charge, but this leaves ydro, so my part-parsing cannot be correct.
8 Down. "Fellow lodger, Aussie native, beginning to make milky beverage" (4-4). Looks like "Room-mate". Roo is Aussie native, m is beginning to make, which leave mate. Mate (with acute accent) is a beverage, but not a milky one. If the second m is the beginning of milky, this leave ate, which is not a beverage.
Grateful for someone to put me out of my misery!

15. The hotel is Hydro, elect = chosen, ic is 'in charge', with the 'r from the end of 'manager' (ultimately) sneaks in. Hydroelect r ic.

Thanks, Malone. I've never heard of Hydro Hotel!

Can anyone help with parsing 8 Down?

8d This had me confused too. In the end, the only way I could make it work was if 'Milky' was an anagram indicator. The trouble is though, that the word TEA is not in the clue, only beverage, which would make this a specific kind of clue that I thought was frowned on, namely, where the word to be made in to an anagram is only given cryptically.

Actually, cancel all that, it still leaves an M unaccounted for - back to the drawing board.

Apparently "mate" is a South-American caffeine-rich beverage. You learn something new every day.

Mate (with and without accent) is in Chambers as tea . Apparently, being tea, it is sometimes consumed with milk and sweetened with honey, so your explanation may be kosher.
