With regards answer of Plum Duff, I thought of that too, but considered it a bit obvious, and really couldn't fully parse. What would be connection of Mac, or for that matter the mention of brother?

Think Rossim has it with Plum Duff. The "Mac" would appear to be to make it clear that it is a forename and not "Macduff". Brothers usually have the same surname so he would be Duff also?
Solution to obsolete items - Junket? (junk it?). Could potato be involved in third one? (baked?)

I think it could be hot baked potato, AB.
I know the hot is repeated but they're not brilliant clues.

Still not entirely convinced about the Hot Baked Potato, but in the absence of anything better,i am going with it .
