Nice one, Paul! Clever clue. Cheers, Tango. The clip reminds me of, as a child, being on holiday with my parents. Passing a record shop, my Mum decided to treat my Dad and buy him an album, giving him a choice of either the Frank Sinatra or Dean Martin (he was a fan of both) album in the window. Each retailed at about 2 pounds. (This stupid virtual keyboard will give me "$" signs but not "pounds"). Dad instead proudly emerged from the shop clutching 2 LPs costing 99p each. One was a George Formby "best of." The other was the Argyll and Sutherland Pipe Band. Mum was not pleased! (To be fair, neither were the rest of us when we had to listen to them, especially the latter).

Hello all
My ears were burning this morning and I wondered why :)
I always follow the Peer Review and Clueless threads and am blown away by the brilliant clues. However, not a snowball's chance in Hell for any entries from me !
Congratulations to Paul and Birthday greetings/anniversary greetings to Skyewalker and Tango.
I saw George Formby live at the Winter Gardens, Bournemouth. Apart from the great songs, his jokes were quite racy for that decade, mostly regarding parrots and vicars !
Keep up the good work

Congrats Paul and thanks Tango.
I guess it was a special celebration.
It was my 48th wedding anniversary on Friday. We just had an Indian takeaway and a bottle of prosecco!

Thanks for the votes Steve, Mattrom, and Ixion. Much appreciated! Thanks for setting Tango, and for your casting vote. Lovely clip - made me wistfully nostalgic for the kinder, gentler age I never knew directly! I hope you had a great anniversary - please come and dance with us more regularly!

@Jazzie; your solving skills are amazing - I know I've tried tempting you before but I GUARANTEE if you have a go here you will be surprised at how good you can be at "gamekeeper turned poacher". I know a lot of us would love to see you here - There are precedents. For example Rosalind wasn't confident but now soars like an eagle!
