Wrestling with this weekly bed of nails as usual, having
more-or-less coped with most other major weekend puzzles! from the journals. This week's seems more arcane
than normal and so, I have these left to solve:-
8 Across - "Forgetting Love Island?" (6) -O-A-O ( Tobago, I
should imagine.)
12 Across - "Cropped top is behind bloomers" LILIES appears to be the answer to this one.
19 Across - "City with a leader overtaken" TOLEDO is
seemingly the answer.
24 Across - "A piece of bread cut by a little butler?" (6)
-A-T-E I don't have this one.
7 Down - "Rene's main point is simple" (4) -E-E Also don't
have this.
