Nobody risen so far to my recent general query about doing this cryptic. However, can anyone help with this: " Clue - Stye? Sty!" I've got just ????o?e. ?keyhole ... but why?

And "Victim of brutal murder on an ideal March day" 6-6. ??L???C?????. Second word could perhaps be column ... so 1st could be "Nelson" but without a final S.

If this Pensioners' magazine is not out of bounds, I'd appreciate any help.

I think the first one might be Eyesore - a sty, mess etc. A stye is A sore on your eye!

Thanks. Both pretty obvious really! Perhaps I should try and wake myself up.
