Time's up, folks. Thanks, everyone, for taking part.
Last week I was having a look back on the forum and was surprised to find that today is the 1st anniversary of me losing my Clueless virginity, with my first attempt at Peer Review later that same week. I could have sworn I'd been participating for longer the that. Thanks to you and all the others who have given me such enjoyment in the competitions, whether hosting or submitting entries, over the last year. The only downside has been me neglecting all the things I should have been doing rather than trying to concoct clues! Anyway, this is not a valedictory post.
I reckon we ended up with a total of 13 clues from 7 setters, including ChrisE's @2 which is not up for consideration. I was surprised that his clue was the only one to refer to the Strategic Defense Initiative. Other clues I liked, which referenced neither SDI nor the George Lucas stuff, include 3,4 and 5 from Mattrom, SteveA and FJ respectively. Also liked BBM2's acrostic @11. Might have gone for Paul @9 but couldn't really see "Dogs" as an anagrind. In the end it came down to, "Which 'arse' shall I go for - Paul's 'short' one @8, or the rogue's 'rats' one @14?" Really swithered, but have decided on:
Paul @8: Series of nasty warts seen on shortarse (4,4)
This week's challenge was partially inspired by my forum nom de plume/guerre (although that's really more a punning opposite of nominative determinism than anything else). Although I'm not an obsessed, convention-going Star Wars fan, I did find the first 3 movies entertaining. To me, things went downhill thereafter. (Jar Jar Bink's, for goodness sake?) Your prize, Paul, (appropriately a "short" one), is an overview from someone who obviously didn't think much of even those first 3 films.

Warning: Peter Capaldi as Malcolm Tucker in "The Thick Of It," therefore strong language.
Best wishes all,
