crossstitch

For the first time in years I've almost completed the latest puzzle in CAM. But I'm stuck on one clue:7d. Henry and one junior associate finally finish going out. I have HI?CAH.
Also, what is meant by "view in the grid in normal reading order"? I assumed left to right on each line but this doesn't seem to work.

Thanks Mamya. I can see now where I went wrong with the clue that gave me C as 4th letter

Hi crossstich

I enjoyed this one. I nearly fell for the red herring in the central square.

At last, I've finished it! Not sure what djawhufc means by "red herring in central square". As it's totally boxed in, it was obviously going to be part of a highlighted word. Or am I missing something?

If you put a different letter in central cell and read a different diagonal you could form another title by someone with a related name.

Wow!! That is so cunning. I now see why the setter is called Schadenfreude.
