Mary, the 11 A should have read 10 A - there's a clash in the seventh letter.

Apologies Manic Mary that should be 10 across. There is an O in 42 across. 34 down - branch office is abbreviated as bo. The resolved anagrams in order are 5 letters, 9 letters, 10 letters ( 3 words the first of which is an abbreviation ), 9 letters ( 2 words ), 10 letters ( 2 words ) and 9 letters.

Reading my own writing properly would help. The next to last is 11 not 10 letters.

Thank you all, have found the mistake in 24d and now the SE corner is nice and full. Will ponder anew the latest posts and see if I can make sense of the 'oddities'. Thanks again, even if I don't have much hope.
