10A Cuts laughter without hesitation (6) - ?????S

1D Loud and angry (10) - ?????A?O?E

2D One who tells you what's what (8) - ?????S?R

The 2nd & 4th letters of 1D are the 2nd letters of 8A & 10A. The 2nd & 4th letters of 2D are the 4th letters of 8A & 10A.

8a shed (hidden in clue)

I wondered that but can't parse the "Tool" bit.

The 6th letters of 1D & 2D come from:

12A Witty remark made by short fool (4) for which I have SASS. If that's wrong it might make 1D & 2D easier to solve!

The last letter of 1D (E) came from:

20A About endings around first sonorous is overwhelming (10)

... for which I had RESOUNDING. I've changed that to ASTOUNDING, even though it doesn't parse as well as the previous answer, and it all fits.
