7d. Minister seizing newspapers- i.e. becoming autocratic (10). Answer is repressive and I see press surrounded by rev and ie but how do you know to split the i.e. with the v?
Also breloque and berloque both appear to mean charm when I search online. I put the wrong one in- it seems a bit harsh to have a very unusual word clued by an anagram with 2 possible answers!

Yes I get that, but I hadn't got the one down so it made it very difficult for that clue. I suppose my point is that I don't see how you would know berloque wasn't the correct answer, without knowing there was even a alternative spelling to consider.
