The definition needs a correction and is 4 letters.
Wordplay is: to capture + T(roy). ie you have it really NET T.
Look up final definition of adj which is (rare) to get misspelling..

I thought that was the answer but was fixated on the misprint being in Rare rather than Feat.

How do you decide which letters to fill in...sometimes more than one letter will do...eg in 5d ..I have BA?T so lots of alternatives. Also 37a ?
I think the filled in letters make a shape (same as the phrase under the grid) ...but do the letters also spell something out?
