I don't think there are any 'rules' as such but, as someone who often comes here for hints or help with parsing, I prefer not to see actual answers given out (until maybe later in the day). This morning, an answer was posted before 09.00. If people are looking for answers, they're given out freely over at the Answer Bank. Just my view anyway.
