Thanks for that mamya. Having seen the details of the thematic stuff involved, I think I have no chance of solving this clue in isolation!

malone, I think you do not need the other stuff.
The clue once the phrases are exchanged (which I did) become regular clues.

I did not give the puzzle info, because I want help on one I picked at random.
If I cannot solve the puzzle with help on that one, I am going to move on.
