Belly dancer , say , without wisdom turned quickly (6) E?OTIC .........looks like exotic (defn belly dancer ,say) but how does it parse please?

wisdom was an extra word so should be ignored in the clue

Cito = quickly.

... and 'turned' means that 'cito' becomes 'otic'.

I'd stuck my answer in without thinking - your question prompted me to look in Chambers. I'd never seen or heard 'cito' before.
