Completed grid but cant get what 15 letters say.

Malone - thanks as always. Thought it might be but could not see what this phrase implied.

I had the first letter as U not L, (sun misprinted as son) then a,s but cant see the last misprint.

I just guessed- and nothing else made sense.

Still can't see where the L and T come from in those 2 clues or what it means.....easy to see what needed to go in the perimeter without those letters.... I assume "five" sides of the perimeter means the perimeter + a bit inside for the end of the sentiment?

Xwordfan, no - the 'five' sides just means one side is repeated. The 'bit inside' comes from the 15 letters, it gives an instruction.

Sorry, I mean 'the 15 letters give an instruction'.

I can't see what the instruction means either. I can see the "ending" inside the grid in various columns but don't see how the message leads to them ??

The T in 4 down is wit to tit. For the perimeter - it is Vera Lynn's 100th birthday today.
