I still don't get it, unless there's a Lake Ugly!
(Actually Ljotipollur in Iceland translates as that, but I'm sure that's not the explanation).

May be if the clue read "Tough guy wanders around lake" because "tough guy" is given as a synonym in a thesaurus I looked at?
