Along possibly if 5 letters and the second a is wrong?

30d Clue: 'The length of' ....answer is ALONG which ties in with 39a Clue: 'Enclosure, pen' .....answer is FOLD (as in Sheep Fold).

Note! since last Saturday, the Daily Record £200 Crossword is now the Daily Record £150 Crossword....no apology or explanation given. With the price of 2nd class postage stamps going up yearly beyond inflation, this crossword is becoming less and less attractive!

A few years back it was the Daily Record £500 Crossword....changed days....I expect they'll blame BREXIT :o)
