Got most of bottom half, but can't get started on the top. Any help gratefully received! (For those who do not have access to it, here are a couple of clues - 1a Drug mother knocked back direct [6]. 1d Farming association from Missouri pretended to comprehend verse translation of Ovid [11, 2 words].) Thanks! (really missing Frogman!)

I think the scottish plimsoll you need in 13a is san ... then with an anagram of ercomes ...then ie. Hope that helps.

I found this week's crossword easier than normal. Thank God because no more Frogman.i was getting worried at one stage that I would never finish it without Frogman!

I know what you mean - I am now down to last 5 and feel stuck (again!), but still pleased to have go this far without Frogman to get me started. Could you give me a nudge for 6,7 or 15? Thanks.

7 is a chemical agent
15 the bird you need is MINA along with for a all anagrammed

I only got 6 and 7 from crossers and then using chambers wizard or universal crossword solver
