Hi Everyone, I often wonder what has happened to some of the earlier members, e.g.Mrs Trellis. For one reason or another I haven`t had a Saturday Times for ages, so haven`t taken part. I now have three copies of RT with partly-finished crosswords ! Either they are getting harder or I`m getting older (no prize for the answer!)
Mags.

That's quite a pebble that you have thrown into the pond, Jazzgirl, and the ripples go and on!

Whenever I tried to help someone on the forum I always tried to explain how the solution related to the clue - by the time I had done all that rigmarole there were invariably several answers that had already been given, usually without any explanation. What's the point?

I keep half an eye on the forum, particularly at weekends, but I only respond when I see something that is wrong or incorrectly parsed.

That's my excuse!

Hi Mags
It is good to see you.
I no longer have the RT Magazine, as my present OH (I call him that...it keeps him on his toes !) has the Saturday Mail with a giant cryptic crossword/GK which keeps me going all weekend. There is also a very good TV and Radio guide there and I like the layout of that..

Hi Brackendale
Welcome. I have missed you. You were one of my early tutors on here, way back, and I thank you for your help. I am getting all emotional now !
I have noticed that you have always given perfect parsing, especially on the Times cryptic Jumbo and that is much appreciated.
It matters not if someone has already given the answer.
The more the merrier.

This thread is like a reunion of old members. Hope there are more of you

Hi Jazzgirl. I'm not a frequent visitor and only really do the Saturday Times Jumbos which I think have been easier this last while (I see no other signs of me getting smarter) and so I haven't needed to visit so much. Maybe the same for others. Glad you're still there though. Rona

hi Rona
I reckon you're getting smarter. The cryptic Jumbos seem to vary in difficulty. There's always a short word which foxes me.

Good morning Jazz et al. Bandydandy previously dandybandy here. Was absent for a while through problems with the old email address I'd registered under, passwords &user names etc and I just couldn't be a***d getting round to change it. Though that was mainly through refurbishing a kitchen at the community hall where my am dram society is based, set building & rehearse a play. It's great being retired so I can vegetate! I'm doing crosswords though mainly RT, Everyman & Guardian. Tend to avoid the forum for Everyman. You could fill in half the crossword with the answers given and as for the number of threads...! Anyway good wishes to all. What's my name again..?

Hi jazz girl,,
I'm in the kitchen at the moment, just clearing the breakfast table.. The wife's doing a bit of ironing and when this is all sorted, will be back trying to sort out Times jumbo cryptic!
