@ Steve
I did try to set a clue but was really tired then found I had to go out all day yesterday. I enjoyed reading the contributions and thought bbm2 was a worthy winner. He would have had my vote.
There are others who may prefer the longer words and it's interesting to have a variety.
It was good to see Faraday and I'm sure he/she will be a regular.

Good to see you Les . Your hard work elsewhere is much appreciated by a lot of people. Take care

Hi Bear and bluemoo

This thread was started earlier in the week when the forum was very quiet. It is busier at weekends, so hoping to see some familiar 'faces'. New solvers are always welcome.
I am only half way through the jumbo :(

Either I'm getting better, or this ones' more in tune with what passes for my thinking as I'm down to 4 unsolved.

Won't scream for help yet - more thinking must be tried first.

Whoops!

Misplaced apostrophe in my earlier message : for "ones'" read "one's".

Have never been or wished to be a greengrocer........

Come to think of it, I once saw at a flower stall outside Waterloo Station : Tuli'ps.

Lynne Truss is a favourite author of mine.
Punctuation saves lives :

"Let's eat Grandma !" :(
"Let's eat, Grandma" :)

I have been away from the Forum for a while. There seems to be a lot of invasive advertising now. I had also been expecting to see post number "1.24 by ten to the power of 24" in the 'personal chatty threads' ;-) Not that I have any issues with that.

... There seems to be a lot of invasive advertising now. ...

I have Ghostery installed on my browser (Opera) and don't see any advertising at all. Have a look here:
