Hi, folks. Before I post the answer to be clued tomorrow, I'd like some advice re cut-off time for entries. The last three competitions were 8:00 pm, the previous five 6:00 pm, two at 9:00 before that (just after one at 10:00pm), with at least a couple before that being, again, 6:00 pm (all GMT or BST as appropriate).

I'll have a look tomorrow for any helpful replies.

Thanks in advance,

SW

Hi Skyewalker,

6pm. (UK time) is the 'usual' cut-off time. However that isn't practicable for those of us in other countries. I'm in Australia, so would choose a 10pm or 8pm time depending on daylight saving.

I think most hosts choose a time which fits in with their own schedule/work commitments.

Cheers

Hi skyewalker
It used to be that the word was posted at about lunchtime Tuesday and the cut off time was 6pm Wednesday, but as mattrom says, internatonal time differences can make that difficult so the setter can change it to suit themselves.
I don't often enter these days, but if I was setting I'd stick to the traditional times if I could.
Cheers
