I can't parse 33ac. and my Brewer's doesn't seem to have an entry for 27d. no matter how hard I look.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

It's difficult without the clues. We haven't all got the paper.

Thanks Chrisg but I haven't got the time now.
Maybe I'll print it off and take it on holiday with me.

An anagram of tun + reboil could give "in trouble".

Thanks xwordfan - I sometines feel there's a conspiracy aimed at persuading us to update our Brewer's and Chambers.

Doc is a serial offender re. Brewer. I'm on holiday without my copy, but I managed to find almost everything by searching the Net, though I misled myself with 27D, which I originally had as MERLINS (there is one). This made 38A unsolvable. I have corrected this mistake and now have only 15A. I have been unable to find it online. Could someone give me a hint?

It's the name of a village near Yelverton in Devon - what you're looking for can be found in front of the church.
