Not seeing "stubborn" = "rocky", mattrom. What am I missing?

The wordplay runs into the def with 5 playing double duty.

plenty around and about - where one would see plenty a round and a bout (rounds & bouts = boxing terms)
in 1,2,3,4 & 5 - Rocky film series (there is a sixth now though)
