2) Impulsive ---9 letters
3) Skunk ---7 letters
5th letter in (1) same as 7 th letter in (2)
7th letter in (1) same as 5th letter in (3)
last letter in (1) = T from 5th letter in LOBSTER = edible red shellfish with pincers.
I was thinking Billiards for (1)---Hotheaded for (2)--- Polecat for (3)
but these dont work for (1)
Any help appreciated.

I've been puzzling over this, too.
I cannot make anything fit with the letters that you say must cross.
but just in case you can juggle things around , I'll put down some suggestions....
1. billiards is the only 9 letter game I can come up with; snooker only having 7 letters.
2. impetuous or whimsical
3 polecat or zorillo
None however comply with the letters you suggest.

And just to add more confusion
'Bagatelle' is a game with cues and balls played on a table.

Automatic could fit with thisfor impulsive.
