Hello, First time here. Just completed latest Everyman after many hours and cheats. My first of this kind. I found it much harder than any cryptic. I'm wondering if their are any guides to solving the Everyman.

Hi MCW and welcome , tips really are practice and learning all about how cryptic lues work.

take the above...

Psalm a bit revised relating to religious rite

As the definition usually comes at the beginning or end of the clue, we could be looking for a 'Psalm' or a'Religious rite'.

Next look through the clue - we see 'revised' which is an anagram indicator and knowing the length of the clue work from there.

Hence - anagram of 'Psalm a bit' - Baptismal.

I'm sure that is nowhere near enough to help you, but have fun learning as you go.
