Bob Flowers has 4 daughters (Chrysanthemum, iris, Rose, and Violet) and wants to take a different combination of his daughters to work with him on each Friday once school is out. If the girls have 12 weeks off from school, is it possible for Bob to take a different combination of girls to work each Friday during the break?

He can take all four (1 combination); 4 combinations of three, 6 combinations of 2, and 4 singly. Total 15 - answer then YES..

However if he has to take girls plural, this rules out the last 4 possibilities, hence only 11 - NO.
