Hi everyone. Not been on here for quite a while but was wondering if someone could help me. I usually get my RT on a special offer subscription but find now that I can't. I've only been getting the RT for the cross word, so was wondering if there was some kind person who could send me a photocopy of just the crossword page every week please, I don't need it for the rest of the magazine. Many thanks,

Hello Butterfly. If you really mean "photocopy" as in posting a paper copy, IMHO they frankly would not be worth the weekly cost of postage even if someone could commit to the obligation, given their history of wobbly clues and typos. Being an intrinsically kind person (I think!) I feel I CAN help you by recommending you check out the numerous volumes of "The Daily Telegraph Big Book(s) Of Cryptic Crosswords" containing 240 puzzles per volume, with solutions appended at the back, so you can check and learn from errors and/or omissions. The puzzles generally seem to gently progress in difficulty through the book. They are commonly available for less than £10 in W H Smiths (etc), and for much less on line, where you may pick up perfectly serviceable, unused, "seconds" if you are prepared to wait a bit. I have worked through several volumes over the years which have even travelled to the far side of the the world with me on holidays! A great companion for any occasion, and thoroughly recommended!

Butterfly. I should perhaps also say that the "DT Big Books" seem to offer about the same level of difficulty as attempted by the Radio Times, but with much greater reliability. I am sure that you would not be disappointed. (ps. I have no personal relationship with either title!!)
