You will have had to do the crossword to answer my query.

The instruction is -

'In symmetrically placed across answers, find and shade
a relevant number and its lesser alternative'

Can anyone help with the clue numbers involved?

Rosie, while browsing Answerbank, I have just seen mention of your dilemma. The solution involves an alternative to the number in the title of the crossword. If you haven't already resolved this, you might want to take a look.

Glad you've got it all resolved - it's always annoying when the last step eludes us. My earlier post was quite short as you might have already finished off the puzzle or seen the AB thread.
