lucabrazzi about giving clues, when I replied to the other thread- I hadn't noticed that they were from the same poster!

lucabrazzi, it isn' tnecessary to open a new thread for each request - just add to the already existing one.

23D & 24D are related (hence the ellipses between the two). 24D is a word for a newspaper which also doubles as a word for a musical instrument played in a church and 23D is a kind of stop on that musical instrument.

For 26A think of another word for a mangle (and what you do with it - or rather did with it), not the agricultural one but more to do with laundry.
