Thank you trevor. There's a theme of golfing so slice would be apt. As to Caspar as the first name, that sounds likely, but does that parse as car going round asp or spa?

there is a Spa race track in Belgium (Spa-Francorchamps) that i've never heard of, although i've probably not heard of lots of famous ones.
not that happy about 'lice' for 'little eggs' although the answer does look right.

Thanks again for spa trevor. I agree that little eggs should be nits, but it's plausible. The i crossword setters are sometimes obscure and/or inaccurate.
