Thanks yet again syzygy, good fun. I particularly liked Shots 1, 7* & 20.

Thanks, syzzie. Ingenious construction as usual. Starred: shot 7, third a, fifth b (and loved “bad lighting” in sixth b), third e.

Not sixth b of course, first c.

Those were some of my favourites too, though S7 was one of the last.
Ra3 wasn't in Chambers but the NA dictionaries had it. I don't watch sports.
To me it's like an SNL (Saturday Night Live) news report:
"... and now for some partial scores - 3, 6, 47, 0"

George Carlin (no B-ball, but funny):

Pardon the low-res.

have to admit, i don't understand 7 and the spoonerism (1st a) doesn't work for me but i enjoyed it all. 'bad lighting' is very good.
thanks as always syzygy.

Great: definition
hero: SUB (sandwich)
a pop: PER (as in a dollar a pop)
I didn’t care for the spoonerism either.

ah, very nice. should have got 'a pop', i've seen it used before and liked it, hero/sub would have become easier (not heard of a hero sandwich).
many thanks aristo.
