Ans. LOOK-SEE. I only get the 'quick glance' bit.

Ans. IMAGERY. 'Permitted' is AY?

1D "Star under discussion pens good suggestive enquiry" (7, 8)
Ans. LEADING QUESTION. A leading question in a suggestive enquiry, but what does the rest mean?

8D "Egghead using ground to store energy" (6)
Ans. GENIUS. I only understand the 'egghead' bit.

21D "Depressed and cold working with bible in church" (7)
Ans. CONCAVE. 'Concave' is 'depressed' and 'bible in church' is 'av' inside 'ce', but where how does 'con' mean 'cold'?

Loo - Gents with seek moving closer (last letter) to front?

I - complier may - is permitted + Ger - imagery?
Using ground - anagram + E for energy - genius?
