I've started 4386 and have 8 or 9 letter values. However, I am stuck with 6 down. I make the third digit a "3" - which can't be right. The clue to 14 across must surely begin with a "1". Is that right?

Yes, 14a is 112 and 6d 1815 (P = 7, a = 184)
