Sorry.
Once again, can someone interpret these clues?

17A: Rubbish picked up on Thames that's crammed into boats (5)
Must be 'OAKUM' (from the other letters) but other than oakum is something used in boats, I don't know what the rest means.

15D: Creamy-white and gold plant that climbs hedging (5)
IVORY (again from the letters, the 'creamy-white' bit, and 'IVY' climbs.) Why is OR gold?

Rubbish is Hokum, "picked up on Thames" - heard as if in London, with dropped H - oakum?
