I think "my" problem must be as a result of the measures now in place to try and stop/reduce the spam by not allowing more than 1 cut/copy and paste. This doesn't help (mobile wise) if the initial reason for not allowing the original post in entirety to be posted, such as an item of punctuation, is outwith the showt text box. I'll post my residual comments "long hand" later, possibly tomorrow, should anyone still care to read them.

Thanks very much, ginge - I really can't disagree with you about the quality of the entries, and wouldn't have liked to be in your position of choosing.

Congratulations, mattrom; clever and succinct (how I like them!)

...though I don't think that the "Disturbed"version is an improvement on either of the Simon and Garfunkel versions!. Do you know the story? They had recorded the "folky" take, then came over to England. While they were away someone (Roy Halee?) put a rock drum/base track on the original and released it. Simon and Garfunkel had to be rapidly recalled to the US as suddenly they had a major hit.

I'm genuinely surprised and honoured in view of such excellent entries.
Thank you Ginge, not only for your choice but for persevering against the odds, a fertile word, and an interesting clip. I hope to see you all next week,
Cheers

Yes, it is an interesting history to the song, especially as they had split up after the original release was a flop.
