My usual trouble!
2 down - "Go touring spots of interest before getting disheartened" (8).
"Sightsee" would appear to fit "Go touring" with "sights" being the spots of interest but then I draw a blank with the "getting disheartened" to tie in .with the "ee"?
There's only so much slapping my bald pate can stand!

I had the same problem at first.
The word to be "disheartened is "ere" (before) - ee

Before anyone says "He would say that wouldn't he" - I did think of this the other day and it came back to me after I opened the thread.
I've often found that sometimes typing a question is a trigger to a little grey cell and the answer appears, as if by magic.
Before opening the replies I told my wife what the response would be - go on ask her!
