I can't think of a hint for 2 D. It's an odd word and I got it from a wordwizard thing.

2D is anagram of 'humorous client' - minus the letters from 'store'.

As always, thanks Malone and Nelson. I had misread my 2d because my 17a is wrong. I now have SU?? And 18d I can't fathom at all. I have ?a?e?d?er. Are you willing to guide me on these two?

sub = LEND. anxiety= CARE. So, put LEND in CARE, then add two letters that mean the queen.

Sorry!!!!! Should have said one letter that means queen. Or king even.

Was not familiar with that word Nelson. So 17a is SUC? I don't get that either.....
