1a. Linen flower on short American entertainer (7). C?M?R?C. Cambric is linen and Cam is a flower. This leaves bric as a short American entertainer. I have found a Lee Brice on line. I've never heard of him! Any better ideas out there?

I've seen this elsewhere as coming from Fanny BRICE - never heard of her! But the Bric is Brice, short/chopped.

Could be Fanny Brice ? American comedienne/singer/ etc.
