Hi

We're stuck on our last clue in a cryptic quiz where each answer is an item of clothing.

The clue is

I will have to leave the fanatic in order to wear this one. (7)

Please help!!!!!!

caftan...... but only 6 letters

Yes we thought of that but it's either wrong or the setter has put the wrong number of letters. Also I think it's more commonly spelled kaftan but it is a neat clue which fits with the style of the quiz and so we'll go with it if we can't think of anything better. The closing date is 31st Dec!!!!

It's an anagram of fanatic minus the i so I'm sure it was the letter count that was incorrect.
