Thank you Faltenin. I haven't got many answers but NONE of them are classical composers! Onwards and upwards .........

For the 2 12 letter entries I have an English painter (G) and an astronomical object (T). I have entered the painter in the left hand 12 letter down position. That gives a logical location for the 6 letter French composer (R). But if I enter him there and the 11 letter H just below, I get a 5 letter down light ?m?r? that doesn't match any of my 5 letter answers. Other entries elsewhere seem to work ok. Any assistance welcome!

Hi Jack,

Are you sure you're not looking for a ?M?T?

You may have placed the 11-letter across with a H instead of the one with a C...?

Thanks. You're right about the 11 letter entry. But I don't have a 5 letter with a ?m?t? pattern. What is the intial letter?
