Heap - that should do it, I hope!

Thanks Malone. Heap was the first word of the FIRST quotation from superfluous words. I was looking for the first word or two of the SECOND quotation which starts on or near 47d.

I'm totally confused now. I thought the first quotation was the one along the top and bottom, and the second quotation was provided by the extra letters? The top/bottom quote is from one person, the one beginning Heap is from another.

Finally got it! My apologies to all who have tried to sort me out. I didn't realise that it was all one long quotation.
