Stuck in right hand top corner. 9d Well imbued, after exchange of parts (4) E?D? and 15a Old, you'll lose love twice, sadly, at the proper time (4) ?UL?
This is probable DULY but that makes 9d E?DY. Probably EDDY but why?

Yes, DULY (anag. of OLD YOU losing O twice)

Yes, EDDY, DYED (imbued) with the two halves reversed, EDDY = well (see 'well' in Chambers).

...well(2), that is, = 'an eddy'.
